The Transportation Dashboard was a prototype application developed for the purpose of viewing, analyzing, and reporting on transportation incidents throughout the state. A key feature of this application is that it has the ability to interface with highway information signs and update alerts and messages in real-time. The dashboard allowed the user to view current traffic conditions, accidents, live traffic cameras, and modify road statuses. A unique design element of this application is that it was built in JavaScript and HTML but was designed to use separate windows which could be manipulated to keep open as a toolbar on your desktop so that it can be quickly accessed throughout the day.
